Just popping up for a quick Friday check- in with a few words of encouragement. On days like today when laundry hasn't been folded, my baby is fussy and I'm up to my eyeballs in work to do, I'm reminded of the simple joys of motherhood sprinkled throughout the day. One of my favorites is hearing my baby laugh- no sound is sweeter! Maybe you too are feeling a bit overwhelmed and overspent from day-to-day tasks, I know I can't be the only one! It can be all too easy for us to focus on everything that went wrong but there are small joys that I find the Lord has blessed me to experience that if not acknowledged, it can be looked over. I believe God is intentional about setting things in font of us that makes us stop and smile and remind us of his love. I can get so wrapped up in what I'm doing that I forget to hit the pause button.
So this week and every week I'll be counting it all as joy. From the floors I sweep to the dishes I wash, none of it brings me more pure bliss than caring for my family. Sure it gets tiring - but the JOY of the Lord is my strength. I encourage you mama to find your inner joy and strength today as you too do this good work within your home. We have such an important job to do within our families and communities to make these little tiny humans ready for the world. I'm reminded that little eyes are watching and little feet are following close behind looking for me to lead him. I encourage you today to find the small joys placed within your day and to stop and smile at even the hardest of times. The days are long but the years are short and pretty soon, we'll be wishing we had just one more moment to spend with our babies. Stay encouraged! What's one joy that happened to you today? I would love to hear about it!
