In light of the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday I thought I would put together this fun blog post. We all know motherhood is tough stuff... I mean, I've only been in the game for three months and let me tell you- I could have had better luck training to be a football player! With as many up's and downs I get so much fulfillment from being a mom. Raising my son is my dream job and I've embraced every hill and valley I had to climb to get to where I am now. There are things I know and still learning but all in all, I LOVE MOTHERHOOD.
I love motherhood because- my son dosen't notice my flaws
I love how this little baby accepts me for me. He thinks I'm awesome and I'm not gonna lie, I feel special when we wants JUST ME (sorry Shawn) He dosen't see me as the sometimes impatient, impulsive, and sometimes cranky mom I actually am. His love reminds me of the Lord and it's always forgiving.
I love motherhood because I'm no longer judged for doing kid activities
C'mon, I know I'm not the only one! No longer will I be judged for wanting to go down the slide at the park or ride the swings. I can't wait for the summer when we're taking a water park trip and yes I am going to be up in the kiddie pool having the time of my life. Because I have a baby- therefore, it's justified.
I love motherhood because I get to be a direct impact in my sons life
Not many people can say they have a direct influence on someone for a substantial amount of time. I can. Not only that, but I'm raising someone special- he could be the next musician, author, sports player or politician! He's going to know who he is and WHO'S he is without a doubt. I'm so glad to be bringing up a future member of society with values that mean the most to my husband and I.
I love motherhood because being apart of the mom community is AMAZING!
I would have never been able to meet so many amazing and genuine mamas if it wasn't for the mom community! Instagram has been one of the main places I have been able to chat, make friends and most of feel like someone understands #momlife with me. Having girl friends is essential! It truly takes a village to help bring up a child and that's exactly what it's like for me.
I'm curious to see your reasons on why you love motherhood! Share your story with me in the comments below.
