I can't believe it was only four months ago Isaiah entered my world and made me a mom. My baby is growing up so fast! When I was little, I never understood why my parents and family made such a big deal about "making memories", but now I want to take pictures and record basically everything! Days with Isaiah are the best, and I don't want to forget what pure bliss feels like. Much sooner than later, this baby stage will be over, so now more than ever I want to make lasting memories every chance that we get. We spent the day as a family together a few Saturdays ago and it was the best! We didn't go to Disneyland or the beach... we got tacos; and it was amazing. Anytime we leave the house I like to Isaiah to be in something cute, mostly because he never wears anything but sweatpants and regular onesies at home; he takes after his mama so well! We recently got some freshly picked oxfords that I'm so obsessed with. They look great, and the camel color is a great neutral for me to pair with any outfit I may have in mind for him. I tried to have us match but it was beginning to be a little much to try and find coordinating pieces within three wardrobes, so I just picked out a comfy dress and we hit the streets!
If you ladies are in the Texas area check out Torchy's Tacos- seriously they are AMAZING. Oddly enough we got burritos and they represented everything good in this world. The food tastes great and the staff was so acommodating to my little boy! For the most part Isaiah was snoozing away while Shawn and I stuffed our faces but it reminded me of old memories of when we were dating- it was nice to think of how far we came, and all the new memories we'll be creating with our son.
We finished up and drove over to a park to hang out. We didn't do anything but sit and look at the ducks in the pond. I got so caught up with having fun with my babes, I forgot to take pictures! When we arrived back home We did a few here in our front yard and they came out so cute!
This day could be looked at someone else as "just another day" but for me, it was a reminder that Isaiah won't be this tiny forever, as much as I want him to be a baby I can't wait to see his true personality come to life. This day was a good reminder to just stop and enjoy the day. To appreciate where I am in this moment and live. Freshly Picked just rolled out their #foreverystep campaign and we are so honored to be apart of it! We received these shoes complementary from the company and are so grateful for them inviting us to share of our story of the most perfect spring day.
Freshly Picked is a fantastic company that makes premium leather baby shoes created by a mama who wanted to shake things up and bring something new to the market. When our baby shoes arrived, I noticed the craftmanship was remarkable and know our shoes will be able to hold up well with the wear and tear of everyday life. Isaiah is in a size 1 which can fit all the way until he's six months old but sizes go all the way up to a 7! I loved the cute carrying bag it comes in to keep them clean when they aren't in use. Though $60, I believe in truly investing in quality items and this one won't disappoint! If you think these shoes are cute you should check out the various collections Freshly Picked has to offer ranging from Disney to Care Bares... also these avocado mocs have me swooning! Find Freshly Picked over on Instagram and Twitter and give them a follow to never miss a release of their newest shoes!
