There is just something about mornings that I love. I don't know if it's the cool air in the mornings or the rising sun that I see in the beautiful Texas sky that makes me just love being a morning person. I get it, someone like me must be a freak of nature right? How can anyone (especially with a baby) be a morning person? Though most of us were forced to tolerate being up in the early hours of the day to care for our babies, I'm going to be sharing three methods how you can start seeing why mornings are worth getting up for. Yes, you can ACTUALLY be a morning person! Here's how:
1. Go To Bed On Time
Want to be a morning person? That means actually going to bed on time! A lot of us feel really bad in the mornings because we didn't properly prepare our selves the night before. Give yourself a chance to start the day right by turning off that phone and falling asleep. We are mamas after all and need our beauty sleep am I right? Though you may be tempted to Instagram surf after you put the baby back to bed for the hundreth time- trust me, your body is begging for rest! Do yourself a favor and unwind for the nights and you'll actually start seeing your mood become so much better in the mornings. Thanks sleep!
2. Give Yourself Something To Look Forward To
Call me crazy, but I actually give my self a little "thank you for waking up this early" treat in the morning. The quiet alone may feel like a good enough reward but do whatever it is that gets you excited. Think about that shower you won't have to rush through or the fact you can actually drink your coffee hot with no interruptions. I love reading and listening to podcasts to fuel my day with positive feelings and the fact that I can listen to an entire episode with zero distractions makes me SO excited! When my alarm goes off I'm ready to get up for the day.
3. Start Your Day With A Bit Of Positivity
And speaking of being positive. Start that mindset on thinking on good things. Ladies, it's crazy how much can manifest in your enviroment just by the way you perceive things. It's important to start each day with an attitude of gratitude! I have a few more blogs expanding on this topic on How To Stay Joyful in the midst of complete chaos as well as Setting Your Mind On Positive Affirmations!
Being able to spend one more day with my babes makes it all worth being up in the mornings and I've truly been able to become so grateful to spend each and every sunrise I see with them. Tell me, are you a morning person? Let me know in the comments below!
