Happy Saturday! I love the weekends and look forward to time well spent with the family every time the Saturday rolls around. On days like this Shawn is home and is such a HUGE help with Isaiah or housework, it gives this mama a break from the everyday grind, and by then I'm in serious need of one! I like to take an hour or so or myself and soak up 60 minutes of "me time" and do something baby free. Each week is different but self care Saturday is essential! As mamas we get so wrapped up in taking care of everyone else and leave ourselves on the back burner. Take some time and think about the one thing you can do on your own that makes your heart full. The weekend is a great time to take an hour and do something to help better yourself.
I love to read and get my writing inspiration from others around me. This self care Saturday I'm cuddling up with a good book and getting some knowledge in! I teamed up with my friends over at Pipcorn and they provided this fun complementary snack for me to munch on, and guess what?! I ate it ALL BY MYSELF, not even my husband got his paws on this one! Pipcorn is an incredible snack company founded by brother and sister duo Jeff and Jen Martin who wanted to make a popcorn that was easy to consume and tasted great! I got the Truffle flavor sent over to me and I was in my own little world, living my best life eating this! I had a great read and an even BETTER treat to pair it with- I love how small the kernels are; the more I can fit in one hand, the better! You can find pipcorn at your local Whole Foods or order direct from their website with SEVEN amazing flavors to choose from. The best snack to watch your favorite movie or relax in the bath with, I love it!
When I first had my son, my own mom reminded me how important it was to not get lost in the mundane routine of feedings, diaper changes and cleaning that the best work you can do within your home is developing who you are and reminding yourself of who's you are. I couldn't agree more! What's your go to guilty pleasure snack during a self care day? I know I'm not the only one mama who likes to munch on something tasty! Let me know in the comments below!
