How was everyone's weekend?! I hope you and your family are also having a fun Memorial's Day! I'm so excited that my gang is all together and my husband is home for a fun filled three day weekend with us. On Saturday we did some last minute spring cleaning that was much needed. For us here in Texas, spring is practically over because it's SO HOT! But hey, better late than never! I've mentioned before how I'm rebuilding my capsule wardrobe and in order to make room for new things and I had to get rid of some clothes that I just wasn't wearing anymore. In comes ThredUp who has been a HUGE HELP in making sure our clothes do a little bit of good or our neighbors in other places, filling up closets in need!
For this blog, I collaborated with ThredUp to encourage families to spring clean their closets for the new summer season! They sent me two clean out kits for my crew to use, fill up and send off! I'll be posting a follow up blog soon on the new items of clothing Isaiah and I got on their website to share.
We've been moving things out and around in our room to make space here in our small living arrangements. We've been holding onto things since Zay was a newborn and though we kept most of his clothing, we were able to find things that other babies in need could use. I believe God blesses us to be a blessing to others and I couldn't think of a more perfect company to donate to. Have you heard of ThredUp? Y'all they are seriously the BEST! As the worlds largest online thrift store, ThredUp provides affordable clothing and accessories for women, boys and girls! I personally like shopping here for my son since he's getting new clothes every few months. I have never had a problem with the quality of clothing I receive and have always loved their service towards me. The winning factor is that it's online and my clothes are sent to our home, ready to go! You could say I'm a bit of a ThredUp enthusiast and wrote a blog a few months ago on my son and I's matching Mommy and Me outfit they got us along with a baby clothing haul that I did. The clothes that we got then are STILL in great condition- thanks ThredUp!
The clean out process is simple. Here's how it works:
1. Create An Account And Order A Clean Out Kit: ThredUP mails you a bag and a return shipping label accepting 35,000 brands of clothing! Instructions on how to make sure your clothes are ready to go are included as well.
2. Send Off Your Clothing Through The Mail.
3. That's It! Visit Their Website Here on specifics on what they are looking for- and yes, you can send in your kids clothing as well!
And The Best Part? You Get $$$ Back From Donating!
With Each Clothing Item They Select To ReSell You Get A Piece Of The Pie And Can Shop Online To Get Yourself Something New. Isaiah Thinks That's A Pretty Sweet Deal!
This was a fun experience to do with my family and if feels good to do good for others! Let me know what your plans are for this weekend, would love to hear!
